STD Overview for Non-Clinicians
Learn about STD epidemiological trends, STD effects on reproductive organs, causes of STDs, symptoms, transmission, consequences, and STD risk reduction. Link behavioral and immunological factors of HIV and other STDs. Practice simplifying appropriate messages for STD education and counseling. Designed for people working in STD/HIV prevention and education who are not medical providers. (This training is also available in Spanish as Resumen de Enfermedades Transmitidas Sexualmente for persons who work with bilingual and monolingual Spanish-speaking clients.)
This training is approved for 7.8 CE (nursing contact hrs)
