STD/HIV Update for Educators

This one-day training is intended for professionals who work with youth and and will provide a more in-depth look at STDs/HIV, including trends, transmission, consequences, STD/HIV connection, and appropriate risk-reduction messages for this population. There will also be a review of the California Education Code related to HIV/AIDS Prevention Education and Comprehensive Sexual Health Education.

Available through this training will be access to free STD-specific resources, including "STD 101 for Teens" PowerPoint and Making the Connection Between STDs and HIV Lesson Plans.

The California STD/HIV Prevention Training Center is apporved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 14547 for 6 contact hours for STD/HIV Update for Educators.
