Group Facilitation
The primary goal of this two-day training is to enhance participants' group facilitation skills relevant to group-level HIV prevention interventions. This training explores the nature of groups; the stages of group development; group process dynamics; the nuances of co-facilitation; and steps to planning and organizing group level interventions. Additionally, each participant will have an opportunity to practice facilitation skills in a group setting. Course application is appropriate for activities conducted in peer and non-peer-led groups, and single- to multi-session groups. Please note: priority registration will be given to California Office of AIDS funded programs.
This course is approved for 15.6 CE (nursing contact hrs).
