We are pleased to co-sponsor a continuing education program, Public Health Ethics in Practice. Dr. Miranda Worthen, a social epidemiologist, will present a 1.5 hour online session on December 5th from noon to 1:30 pm. The presentation will include the topic of public health ethics related to health promotion and population-level interventions. The ethical role of public agencies will be discussed along with the ethical challenges presented in light of the Affordable Care Act. In addition to the California STD/HIV Prevention Training Center, the co-sponsors of this program are San José State University and Northern California SOPHE. CHES units are available

Registration Fee for Health Professionals:  $10.00

Registration Fee for Students:  Free (must use discount code 120513 when registering)

Continuing Education Credits:  Instructions for obtaining continuing education credits will be emailed to you following the event. 

  • CHES Credits:  $12.00 for 1.5 hours are available for both Health Professionals and Students.  Available after the event and the completion of an evaluation.
  • BBS and CAADAC:  Free of charge, available after the event and the completion of an evaluation.
