Deconstructing Homophobia and Transphobia: A Way Forward

This two-day training focuses specifically on the impact that homophobia and transphobia has on health outcomes and the provision of prevention and care services.  Topics include considering root causes, examining LGBT history, acknowledging heterosexual privilege, the effects of layered stigma, and developing strategies to create more inclusive systems at an organizational level. The goal is to create institutional change to improve client-provider relationships and community health outcomes by examining and responding to homophobia and transphobia.
