By the end of this course, learners will be able to describe three ways in which stigma affects disease intervention efforts. They will also be prepared to design an actionable plan to overcome stigma within the context of disease intervention work. Participants will gain insight into strategies that help mitigate the negative impacts of bias and stigma, while also being able to list two strategies that apply cultural humility to address both conscious and unconscious bias in disease intervention practices.
