Sexual Health Educator (SHE) Training Program - Facilitating Difficult Questions from Parents and Guardians
The Sexual Health Educator (SHE) Training Program is an educational and capacity-building opportunity for California educators working with youth in school, community, and clinical settings who desire to build their sexual health knowledge and education skills. This training will be provided by the California Department of Public Health STD Control branch in collaboration with the California Department of Education.
This virtual SHE Training will cover the following modules:
- Teaching Sexual Health Education: Facilitating Difficult Questions from Parents and Guardians
- This training provides tips and tools for participants to navigate difficult sexuality-related questions asked by parents and guardians to professionals in the education system. Experts in the field of sexuality education will provide professional insights and tools for answering these questions. Participants will have the opportunity to ask challenging questions they’ve encountered and will gain comfort and confidence to answer any type of question that will be asked of them.
This virtual training will take place on Wednesday, December 4th from 3:30-5:00pm. Webinar link and additional information will be sent out closer to the training date.
