Sexual Health Educator (SHE) Training Program -Minor Consent and Confidentiality for Sexual Health Services in California (2025)

The Sexual Health Educator (SHE) Training Program is an educational and capacity-building opportunity for California educators working with youth in school, community, and clinical settings who desire to build their sexual health knowledge and education skills. This training will be provided by the California Department of Public Health STD Control branch in collaboration with the National Center for Youth Law. 

This virtual SHE Training will cover the following modules:

• Minor Consent and Confidentiality for Sexual Health Services in California
  • This module provides an overview of the laws that impact minors and their access to confidential sexual health services in California and the relevant responsibilities of clinical providers and educators. Participants will test their knowledge related to minor consent laws and learn about resources to support implementation of minor consent laws in a school setting.

This virtual training will take place on Tuesday, December 9th from 3:30-5:00pm. Webinar link and additional information will be sent out closer to the training date. American Sign Language interpreters will be provided.
